If you are using a low-capacity console (eg. 4GB), you need a HDD to play multiplayer. Microsoft's being a pain-in-the-ass by making it mandatory to install Disc 2 (9GB) to play multiplayer. So don't buy Halo 4 unless you're absolutely sure. Or you'd be left playing Campaign.
